N-Acetyl Semax

Neuro

An acetylated Semax analogue with enhanced blood-brain barrier penetration and more potent nootropic activity.

Half-life
~5–10 hours
Research dose
100–900mcg/day
Frequency
Once to twice daily
Routes
Intranasal or SubQ

How it works

Acetylation of the N-terminus increases lipophilicity, improving passive diffusion across the blood-brain barrier. Once in CNS tissue, it acts identically to Semax: upregulating BDNF and NGF expression, activating BDNF/TrkB signalling pathways, and reducing pro-inflammatory cytokine production in neural tissue.

Research uses

Cognitive enhancement
BDNF upregulation
Neuroprotection
Concentration and focus
Stroke recovery models

Research notes

N-Acetyl Semax is generally considered more potent and longer-acting than standard Semax due to improved CNS penetration. Research and user reports suggest onset is slower but effects are more sustained.

As with Semax, the primary scientific literature is from Russian institutions where Semax has been approved and studied clinically for neurological conditions including stroke recovery, cognitive dysfunction, and anxiety.

Storage

❄️Freeze lyophilized powder
🌡️Refrigerate once reconstituted
