A potent GH secretagogue with strong GH pulse amplitude and mild appetite stimulation.
Binds the ghrelin receptor (GHSR-1a) on pituitary somatotrophs and hypothalamic neurons. Increases GH pulse amplitude more potently than most other GHRPs, with modest elevations of cortisol and prolactin at higher doses. Mild appetite stimulation through central ghrelin activity.
GHRP-2 is one of the most studied synthetic GH secretagogues. It produces potent GH pulses but with slightly more cortisol and prolactin elevation compared to Ipamorelin, making dose management important in research protocols.
Commonly paired with a GHRH analogue (Mod GRF or Sermorelin) to maximise GH output through synergistic receptor activation.
